The Carlton Ambassador Hotel, situated in the beautiful 'Mesdag Quarter' in the city centre of The Hague, officially opened in March '95. Behind the beautiful façade you will find 78 beautifully decorated hotel rooms (of which 31 deluxe rooms) in old Dutch or English Tudor style, a cosy and informal ambiance in Restaurant Henricus and the Rubens Bar and 3 elegant banquet rooms for a succesful dinner, reception, party or meeting. Service and comfort as you may expect from a 4-star hotel!

The Carlton Ambassador Hotel is situated in the green and historic 'Mesdag-quarter', amongst Embassies, museums, the Peace Palace and near to the city's shopping area. As the court capital and seat of Government, The Hague houses the Embassies and Consulates of 65 nations as well as many important organisations and multinational companies. Monuments, museums, historic buildings, and endless variety of shops and restaurants and trend-setting theatres emphasise the many-sided appeal of this magnificant city. All 80 rooms and suites are tastfully decorated in Old Dutch (Hindeloopen) or English Tudor Style. The facilities are all that you would expect from a 4 star hotel, but with the additional benefit of 3 telephone extensions and a fax/computer connection. Comfort is a priority with duvets, powerful thermostatic showers, heated towel rail, large bath towels and a bathrobe. Within the hotel there are 3 fully air-conditioned banqueting rooms for receptions, dinners and weddings.

HENRICUS RESTAURANT & LOUNGE Enjoy an unforgettable dinner in the Henricus Restaurant, or a tasty drink in the cozy Henricus lounge. Henricus Restaurant & Lounge, a culinary Mecca for many local business people and diplomats in The Hague, offers an extensive menu of specialties and seasonal dishes. The large French-doors afford a beautiful view of the terrace. In springtime and summer, the delightful sunny terrace is open and lobster, oysters and grilled dishes are available from the barbecue. The restaurant has a non-smoking policy, however, guests can smoke in the adjacent lounge. HENRICUS LOUNGE The Henricus lounge is decorated with paintings by the 19th-century painter Henricus, who gave the restaurant its name. Guests can sit near the fireplace to read a magazine or newspaper and enjoy a cup of coffee with a "Haagsche Tea." The 'Rubens' Bar-Grill, with its informal ambience, is open from 4.00 p.m. for a drink or delicious grill meal. On Thursday and Friday afternoon between 17.00 and 19.00 we have a Happy Hour. The hotel has also a lovely terrace facing South where people can enjoy their cup of coffee and even a five course dinner.
